
In order to preserve and promote national cultural identity, strengthen unity within the Vietnamese community in Japan, and foster friendly exchanges between the people of Vietnam and Japan, the program "Spring in the Homeland - Osaka 2026 Great Unity Tet" will be held from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on January 4, 2026, at Ikuno Park, Osaka City, Japan.
The program was jointly organized by the Association of Vietnamese People in the Kansai Region, the International Friendship Promotion Organization, and 15 Vietnamese associations in Japan, with the sponsorship of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka and the Ikuno district government of Osaka city.
Ms. Le Thuong, President of the General Association of Vietnamese People in the Kansai region, representing the Organizing Committee, said: "The program includes many special activities such as: Traditional banh chung wrapping competition; Photo contest “Vietnamese Tet Feast in Japan”; Vietnamese costume performance; Art painting and photography exhibition;… Participants also have the opportunity to try their hand at folk games, enjoy Vietnamese food at the food stalls, and engage in Vietnamese-Japanese cultural exchange… Especially, the program will screen the film “Red Rain” free of charge to introduce to the large Vietnamese community in Japan this film with profound historical value."

The program contributes to spreading the spirit of national unity, raising awareness of cultural identity, and affirming the role of the Vietnamese community in Japan in the process of international integration.
The "Spring in the Homeland - Osaka 2026 Great Unity Tet" event is expected to attract not only the Vietnamese community in Japan but also Japanese people and international friends, becoming a unique cultural exchange activity to celebrate the new year 2026.
