Many important decisions were made at the Seventh Session of the Provincial People's Council.

On February 21st, the Phu Tho Provincial People's Council, 19th term, 2021-2026, held its seventh special session to consider and decide on several important issues.

In his opening remarks at the session, the Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Bui Minh Chau, emphasized: The seventh thematic session is of paramount importance; in implementing the Party's policy on streamlining the apparatus, the Provincial People's Council will approve the establishment and reorganization of specialized agencies under the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee and the dismissal and election of the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee for the 19th term, 2021-2026, ensuring unified and uninterrupted leadership, direction, and management, contributing to meeting the province's overall development requirements regarding organizational restructuring and streamlining; and laying the groundwork for personnel work serving the Party Congresses at all levels in the next term. This is also a content that is receiving the attention, agreement, and support of cadres, Party members, and people throughout the province.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Council will consider and decide on a number of issues related to socio-economic fields, in order to concretize the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws for implementation in the province.

The Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee requested that the delegates of the Provincial People's Council promote democracy, uphold a high sense of responsibility, focus their intellect, carefully study the presentations and draft resolutions submitted at the session; discuss and contribute many heartfelt, insightful, frank, and high-quality opinions to unanimously pass resolutions that ensure compliance with regulations and high feasibility in the implementation process.

At the session, the Provincial People's Council proceeded with the dismissal and election of new members to the positions of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Based on the proposal from the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council regarding the dismissal of the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, 19th term, 2021-2026, 100% of the delegates voted in favor and passed a Resolution on the dismissal of Mr. Duong Hoang Huong as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, 2021-2026 term, due to a transfer of work. Regarding the nomination of a candidate for the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, 19th term, 2021-2026, 100% of the delegates attending the session unanimously elected Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, and Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Affairs Committee - as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, 19th term, 2021-2026; and simultaneously voted to pass a Resolution confirming the election results for Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, delegates heard the Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, Bui Van Quang, present a proposal to relieve Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, from his position for the 2021-2026 term due to retirement, in order to streamline the organizational structure and rearrange Party committee personnel. 100% of the delegates voted in favor and passed a resolution confirming the results of the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai from the position of Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The delegates voted to elect Mr. Nguyen Manh Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Viet Tri City, to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with 100% of the votes from the delegates present at the session.

The provincial People's Council delegates also voted to approve a Resolution confirming the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, 19th term, 2021-2026, for Mr. Nguyen Manh Son.
