Ho Chi Minh City University of Education sent a dispatch requesting to adjust candidates' admission wishes.
On August 25, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education sent an official dispatch to the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) and many universities regarding the handling of candidates' requests to adjust their admission wishes.
According to this document, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education will announce the admission score threshold for regular university programs according to each admission method in 2025 on August 22 on the school's electronic information portal.
After announcing the admission scores, the school reviewed the official admission list and found that there were cases where candidates did not meet the admission score threshold of the industry according to each admission method. At this point, the virtual filtering work of the Ministry of Education and Training was completed, so candidates could not be considered for the next wishes.
Considering that this is a technical error and to ensure the rights of candidates, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education proposes that the Ministry of Education and Training create conditions for candidates to continue to be considered for admission in the next wishes and requests other universities to support the admission of candidates' next wishes according to regulations.
Along with the above content is the list of candidates and their wishes to enter other universities.
According to the candidates' feedback, a similar situation is also happening at Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport. A series of candidates looked up the admission results on the school's website. The candidates were also notified by the school to complete the admission procedures. However, when looking up the General Admission System of the Ministry of Education and Training, the results were not accepted. The candidates' wishes to be admitted on this system were at another university.
Candidates reported 100% failure in their wishes even though their A00 block score was 25 points.
The recorded reality also shows that many candidates are "half-crying, half-laughing" with the above case. Reflecting to Thanh Nien Newspaper, a parent said: "My child registered for the first choice at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and on August 22 and 23, he checked the results and was reported as having passed. On the morning of August 24, he checked on Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and it said he had not been admitted and when he checked the system of the Ministry of Education and Training, all his choices were rejected."
According to this parent, the family contacted Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and was informed that they had passed their 5th choice to Can Tho University. Meanwhile, looking up Can Tho University and other schools all reported that they had failed.
"I don't know what to do now. My child failed 100% of his wishes even though he got 25 points in the A00 block. The time to confirm online admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's system is about to end," this parent worried.
Another candidate also said that he had registered for 6 wishes but currently looking up the General Admission System of the Ministry of Education and Training, he only saw 5 wishes reported as "failed" and one wish with no content showing "failed" or "passed". This candidate said that initially looking up the results reported passing the 5th wish to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education but then reported passing the 6th wish to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education. However, currently on the system, the order of the 5th and 6th wishes is reversed and the admission results for the 5th wish are still blank.
Regarding this content, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education said that information will be available soon.
