U.17 women's Vietnam play dominantly
In this match, coach Okiyama Masahiko of the Vietnam U.17 women's team used a 4-4-2 formation with a starting lineup consisting of goalkeeper Cam My; a quartet of defenders Linh Chi, Hoang Thi Giang, Tran Thi An and Hai Yen; a midfield consisting of Kim Chi, Hong Thai, Thao Nguyen and Thu Phuong; while Minh Anh and Ngoc Anh played as a pair of strikers.
Guam U.17 women's team has good physique but limited football skills. Realizing the difference, the away team proactively played a defensive game with a large number of people. However, the Vietnam U.17 women's team quickly controlled the game and put strong pressure on the opponent's goal.

In the first 20 minutes, the dense defense of Guam U.17 women's team made it difficult for Coach Okiyama's students to find space to shoot. However, the mobility and speed of striker Minh Anh became the bright spot that helped the home team create a breakthrough. In the 21st minute, Minh Anh opened the score with an accurate shot from a narrow angle after a technical dribble on the right wing. In the 41st minute, striker number 10 continued to shine with a beautiful volley in the penalty area, doubling the gap for Vietnam U.17 women's team.
In the second half, the game was completely in favor of the home team. In the 54th minute, Yen Nhi scored the third goal for the Vietnam U17 women's team. In the 72nd minute, Minh Anh completed her hat-trick with a close-range shot, raising the score to 4-0. Before the match ended, Hong Thai scored another goal to seal the 5-0 victory for the Vietnam U17 women's team in the 86th minute.
This victory helps the Vietnam U.17 women's team have a favorable start and a big advantage in the race to win tickets to the final round of the 2026 AFC U.17 Women's Football Championship.
