The first images recorded in Myanmar after the earthquake showed collapsed buildings and heavy damage on the afternoon of March 28.
Tom Fletcher, currently the UN humanitarian aid chief, said the UN will mobilize emergency relief and response funds to support Myanmar and Thailand. Earlier, in a post on his X account, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his wishes of peace to people in the earthquake-affected areas of Myanmar and Thailand. He said India is ready to support in every way possible to help these countries.
