(NLDO) - Many alleyways in Catholic neighborhoods in Ho Chi Minh City are brightly decorated; people are eagerly awaiting a peaceful Christmas and New Year.
With Christmas approaching, the Catholic neighborhood on Pham The Hien Street, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, with its five adjacent parishes (Binh Thai, Binh An Thuong, Binh An Ha, Binh Thuan, and Binh Son), is always brightly lit. Many decorative displays such as Christmas trees and nativity scenes are lavishly decorated, attracting many people to visit, take photos, and check in.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (a resident of District 8) took his granddaughter to visit the nativity scene in a church. “Our city continues to have many innovations this year. This Christmas, many places are more beautiful than last year. In the new year, I hope the city will innovate even more and develop more strongly in all aspects,” he expressed.


The church features a miniature nativity scene on Le Duc Tho Street, Go Vap District.
Not only churches, but most of the small alleys on Le Duc Tho, Pham Van Chieu, Thong Nhat streets... (Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City) also simultaneously lit up with colorful lights.
A church in Thai Binh Parish (Go Vap District) has been decorated with a magnificent nativity scene, attracting many people to visit and take photos.

“The church is decorated differently this year compared to last year; it’s more creative, spacious, beautiful, and magnificent. The atmosphere is also quite cool,” commented Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat (a resident of Go Vap district).



Alley 561 Pham Van Chieu, Go Vap district, is about 300m long, and residents have decorated about 100m of it with many lights that change color, along with two rows of trees strung with lights.

Ms. Thuy Hang (a resident of Go Vap district) and her husband came to take photos celebrating Christmas, hoping for a peaceful new year. “The city is about to put Metro Line 1 into operation. I hope our city will develop even more strongly. Lines like this will make the city more beautiful and civilized,” Ms. Hang said.
At night, the weather cools down, and more and more people flock to the Catholic neighborhoods. Many families take advantage of the evening to visit the church, have fun, sightsee, and capture beautiful moments during this Christmas season.
