These days, the Christmas goods market in Lam Dong province is busier than ever. Shops, supermarkets, and souvenir stalls are displaying a wide variety of products, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere that attracts locals and tourists to shop and take photos.

Items such as Christmas cards are also in demand among customers.

Understanding market demand and consumer preferences, since the beginning of November, supermarkets, bookstores, and shops selling Christmas decorations and gifts have been displaying a wide variety of attractive products at different price points.

At the Chi Thanh bookstore in Xuan Huong ward, Da Lat, the space is made warmer by the reindeer, snowman models, and a series of Christmas trees of various sizes. According to many customers, the difference this year is the color and design. Unlike the main colors of white, green, yellow, and red for Christmas, this year's decorations come in many other colors.

Taking advantage of the time after work, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (residing in Lam Vien Ward, Da Lat) stopped by to buy some necessary accessories to decorate her space for Christmas. Ms. Hoa said: “Compared to previous years, this year I find the products more diverse and abundant. Many items appear in handcrafted, mini styles, which I quite like. Every year, my family spends a small amount on decorations to create a Christmas atmosphere. The prices are also not too high compared to last year.”

According to the general assessment of business owners, this year's supply of goods is relatively abundant, with no shortages occurring. Price listing and selling at the correct price have been strictly implemented, contributing to maintaining a stable market during the peak year-end season. "For the past few weeks, the bookstore has stocked up on Christmas accessories, from mini Christmas trees, wreaths, string lights, ornaments to Santa hats and woolen stockings... Most of the customers in the days leading up to and recently have been individual customers, mostly long-time customers from Da Lat. Some mini items are inexpensive and easy to choose, so many people renting homestays or small houses often buy them to create a more festive Christmas atmosphere. If customers want a larger tree to decorate their shop or store, the price is higher, and they consider it more carefully," said a sales employee at Chi Thanh Bookstore.

Specifically, miniature Christmas trees, 30-60 cm tall, are sold for 260,000-300,000 VND each. Larger trees, ranging from 1.2 m to over 3 m in height, can cost from 1 to 5 million VND, depending on the type and material. Some stores also import small artificial pine trees and real Christmas trees, priced from 150,000-300,000 VND... However, common Christmas accessories such as colorful ornaments, bells, ribbons, bows, Christmas glasses/headbands, LED string lights, or Santa Claus costumes remain best-selling items, with prices ranging from 20,000 VND to 500,000 VND depending on material and size.

Besides traditional shops, the Christmas market is vibrant and impressive thanks to the designs from cafes, homestays, and tourism service businesses. “My cafe started decorating for Christmas quite early to create an attractive atmosphere for customers during the holiday season. Accessories like ornaments, string lights, bows, and bells were purchased at the beginning of this month. Some items, such as small decorative scenes, frames, and signs, were made by us and our staff to save costs and create a unique touch. The Christmas tree, Santa Claus model, and a few larger accessories still had to be bought new, but the rest were creatively designed according to the cafe's own style and story, aiming to impress visitors,” said the owner of Nero Cafe.

Besides shopping in person, many people, especially office workers, also choose to buy decorative products from e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Sendo, Shopee, or social media sites like Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, etc., offering a wide variety of choices for the upcoming Christmas season.
