Most businesses are recruiting workers with many opportunities for stable jobs and attractive incomes. At An Giang Samho Co., Ltd., Binh Hoa Industrial Park, Binh Hoa Commune, more than 10,600 workers returned to work after the Tet holiday on February 23rd. Mr. Jeong Incheol - Director of Human Resources - General Affairs of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. said: “The number of employees returning to work after Tet reached 95%. The company specializes in producing sports shoes for its main customer New Balance with 100% Korean capital. To meet orders at the beginning of the new year and expand production scale, the company needs to recruit 2,000 general laborers and some stable, long-term positions with incomes from 6 - 7 million VND/person/month.”
The atmosphere at Universal Apparel Co., Ltd. in Binh Hoa Industrial Park is bustling in the first few months of the year as they strive to meet orders. Ms. Liu Jinning, Director of Universal Apparel Co., Ltd., said: “Currently, the company has over 3,100 employees and urgently needs to recruit 1,200 garment workers with stable salaries and income, full benefits, a salary of 6.6 million VND/person/month, and a bonus of 500,000 VND/person after completing 3 months of work. Unskilled workers will receive free training with a salary.”
In Thanh Loc Industrial Park, Thanh Loc commune, Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd. is recruiting 1,000 workers for sports shoe production. No experience is required, with salaries ranging from 5 to 10 million VND per person per month. Full social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and other benefits are provided. In Xuan To Industrial Park, Tinh Bien ward, Sportline Apparel Vietnam Co., Ltd. is providing employment for 800 workers with incomes starting from 6 million VND per person per month. The company is currently recruiting 500 workers with a starting salary of 5 million VND per person per month.
Many restaurants, hotels, resorts, supermarkets, etc., are actively posting job advertisements to serve the bustling market since the beginning of the year. Many companies are recruiting for high-level positions, such as Hoan Cau Vietnam Limited Company, which is hiring a deputy general director specializing in financial management and law with a salary of 59 million VND/month, to work in the Phu Quoc special economic zone.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs Nguyen Hoang Minh Thu, the province has 18,939 enterprises belonging to various economic sectors. The total number of workers employed in these types of enterprises is 210,134. The province has 5 operating industrial zones with a total of 47 enterprises and 36,552 workers.
According to the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, after the Lunar New Year, over 90% of workers in businesses inside and outside industrial zones throughout the province returned to work on the first day of the new year's opening, and by February 26th, the remaining businesses had reopened and resumed operations. The estimated return rate of 96% of workers demonstrates the strong appeal of the labor market in the province. Specifically within the industrial zones, as of February 23rd, 13 businesses were operating production, business, and service activities after the Lunar New Year, employing 19,177 workers.
Regarding the number of migrant workers returning home for the Lunar New Year in 2026, approximately 57,923 were from other provinces; of which nearly 40% were from Ho Chi Minh City; about 19.07% from Dong Nai province; and the remainder from other provinces and cities. By February 23rd, approximately 55,600 workers had returned to work.
According to Ms. Nguyen Hoang Minh Thu, businesses need to strengthen their social responsibility. Good salaries, benefits, a good working environment, and favorable working conditions will retain employees. Workers from other provinces will shift their focus to working in their local areas and may even recommend relatives to work there. The province should continue to support connecting supply and demand to help businesses recruit labor.
According to businesses, export orders increased significantly at the beginning of the year, requiring them to hire additional workers to meet deadlines. However, after the Lunar New Year, some workers did not return to work or moved to other jobs with higher incomes. To attract and retain workers, businesses adjusted their compensation policies, such as increasing housing allowances, attendance allowances, supporting kindergarten and preschool costs, increasing opportunities for promotion, and increasing income based on performance. Furthermore, businesses even implemented strategies to create a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining talented and skilled workers. Businesses also requested that management agencies improve training programs to meet societal and business needs, and enhance market forecasting and connectivity.
