Recently, drivers who regularly travel on National Highway 14 ( Ho Chi Minh Road) through Lo Xo Pass in Quang Ngai province are worried about the traffic situation. degraded road increasingly serious, with a very high risk of traffic accidents.
According to the reporter's records, Lo Xo Pass through Dak Blo commune has a series of severely damaged spots. Many sections of the road surface are peeling, cracked, and sunken... Many locations form puddles when it rains, making it difficult for vehicles to travel.
"Almost every week I have to travel from Quang Ngai to Da Nang and pass Lo Xo Pass. Seeing the increasingly damaged road surface, I and many drivers cannot help but worry, especially driving at night is very dangerous." - Mr. NT (residing in Quang Ngai province) shared.

In some locations, when two vehicles traveling in opposite directions meet at the same time, drivers are forced to slow down and yield to each other on the flat side of the road. At night or in the rain, it is difficult to identify deep holes, increasing the risk of collision or loss of control.
It is known that National Highway 14 through Lo Xo Pass is one of the vital routes connecting the Central Highlands with the Central region. In recent years, this area has been considered a hot spot for many serious traffic accidents due to the rugged terrain.
A representative of Road Management Area 3 (Vietnam Road Administration) said that the repair work on Lo Xo Pass began on May 22 and is expected to be completed on July 21. However, the rain that has lasted for more than a month has slowed down the progress compared to the plan. Currently, Road Management Area 3 has requested the construction unit to focus on human resources and equipment to repair the entire Lo Xo Pass, in order to ensure safe traffic soon.
