BBK - With the desire to help children have the opportunity to improve their English communication skills and have a healthy playground during the summer, Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have organized many free English classes. These interesting and useful classes have attracted many students to participate.

Every summer day in July, at 7:30 a.m., "teacher" Ha Le Minh Tra (currently a student of the Foreign Language Department, Thai Nguyen University) is present at Phuong Thong Primary School, Phu Thong town, busily welcoming each student to her English class.
The class started the lesson with English songs pronouncing the letters a, b, c… or numbers, then the whole class repeated each letter and number. Nearly 20 faces ranging in age from grade 2 to grade 4 sat upright, attentively studying.

Minh Tra shared: “I teach the children in many ways such as practicing pronunciation of vocabulary, grammar or playing games to help them understand easily, making the classroom atmosphere more lively. In addition, there are also small rewards to encourage them when they study well.”
Luong Hoai An (8 years old), in Chi Quang B village, Phu Thong town, expressed: "I really like going to school because Ms. Tra is funny and easy to approach. In addition to learning letters, numbers, speaking basic sentences, listening to English music, my friends and I also get to play English games, so I really like it. I wish I could come here to study every summer"...
This summer, in Phu Thong town, there are 3 free English classes for local children. Of these, 2 classes are organized by the Provincial Youth Union in collaboration with Dominoes English Center, and 1 class is taught by Minh Tra. Each class has 18-30 students.

At Kim Lu Primary and Secondary School (Na Ri), for the past month, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day of the week, many children in Kim Lu commune have been present in full at the free English class organized by the Provincial Youth Union.
Ms. Lam Thu Trang, Secretary of the Kim Lu Commune Youth Union (Na Ri) said: "Participating in the class, the children are divided into 2 groups, group 1 from 9 - 10 years old, group 2 from 11 - 12 years old; each class has 30 children. Each class always has a foreign teacher as the main teacher and 1 to 2 support members. The content of the lessons is built with the following topics: Self-introduction; colors; animals; personality and hobbies; my house; countries; sports ... The content is suitable, close and easy to absorb for the target audience of teenagers".
"I really like it, I'm very happy." After leaving the English class of teacher Purity from Dominoes English Center, Nong Bao Ngoc (9 years old), a student at Kim Lu Primary and Secondary School, told her mother. Bao Ngoc said: "In class, my friends and I not only learn new words and grammar, but also play games, listen to and sing English songs. I find going to school very fun and very useful."
Ms. La Thuy Duong, Bao Ngoc's parent, said: When the Commune Youth Union announced that there would be a free English class during the summer organized by the Provincial Youth Union, I immediately registered my daughter. After attending the class, I saw that she was more confident and bold.

Ms. Hoang Hai Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: "This summer, the whole province organized 11 free English classes, with more than 500 children participating, including classes organized by volunteer students from universities to teach free of charge to children in Pac Nam, Bach Thong, Cho Moi districts... Participating in these classes will help children develop their English vocabulary; communication skills. From there, help children love English and practice this subject more regularly."
Free English classes in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign of the provincial Youth Union chapters for children are also the key to helping them gain more skills to open the doors of life. ../.
