Hoi An Street Cafes

The small, charming grounds, with a few paintings and some old tables and chairs, evoke a feeling as if an entire bygone memory of Hoi An has been brought here, peaceful as it has always been, oblivious to the hustle and bustle of life outside…

There are also restaurants nestled deep within small neighborhoods, like The Inner Hoi An, which can be accessed via alleyways from Phan Boi Chau, Nguyen Duy Hieu, or Truong Minh Luong streets.

If you're traveling by motorbike, the most convenient option is probably to enter via alley number 4 on Truong Minh Luong Street.

The cafe is a glass house, bathed in summer sunlight and surrounded by trees, like those summer cafes in Korean dramas. It's quite quiet and peaceful here in the mornings, perfect for bringing your laptop, sipping coffee, enjoying the sunshine, and working on your computer.

The Inner Hoi An uses arabica beans grown in Khe Sanh, Quang Tri (Arabica beans from Khe Sanh have an irresistibly rich flavor!), so their cold brew seems to taste better than other places.

Besides enjoying delicious coffee here, you can also buy ground coffee, coffee beans, ceramic mugs, and some lovely handicrafts to take home.

Or you could choose Phin Coffee & Restaurant for a casual outing.

Originally, this was a café specializing in high-quality machine-brewed coffee, more popular with Western customers than Vietnamese. Later, they added a few Western dishes and some Hoi An specialties for breakfast and lunch.

The restaurant, open from morning to afternoon, is housed in a typical two-room, single-story Vietnamese building from the 1970s, situated deep within a cul-de-sac.

The restaurant is located at 132/7 Tran Phu Street. You can access it via an alley from Phan Chau Trinh Street, or another alley from Le Loi Street, or Tran Phu Street.

It's also worth mentioning that in Hoi An's Old Town, the alleyways are interconnected, allowing you to easily navigate from one street to another. Imagine yourself walking down a narrow, winding alley between moss-covered walls; just when you think you've reached the end, Phin Coffee & Restaurant appears – a small, cozy space, lush with moss and greenery, bustling yet peaceful.

Here, you'll feel like you've wandered into a strange place, where no one knows you. Here, time seems to stand still, and all your worries and troubles are left behind.

You can sit leisurely, watching the sunlight filter through the leaves and fall onto the courtyard, sipping on cold brew and fragrant pastries, and even practice your English at your leisure, as there are more foreign and Vietnamese guests here than Vietnamese. Before you know it, evening has fallen...
