Customize AirPods touch controls
Most AirPods models allow users to customize touch controls to suit their usage habits.
When you're wearing your AirPods or opening the charging case, go to Settings > Bluetooth and look for the "i" icon next to your AirPods. Here, you can choose 'Left' or 'Right' to customize each earbud. You can also set up touch commands from the menu for each earbud.
Note that while you can invoke Siri by voice, don't waste a dedicated touch command on this virtual assistant.
Share audio with other AirPods
You can connect other AirPods to listen to music with a friend. To do this, open Control Center, tap the AirPlay button (the icon with multiple circles and triangles), find Share Audio, move your friend's iPhone close, then tap Join on their device to start listening together.
Battery Monitor with Widget
Keeping track of your AirPods' battery status is a lot easier with a widget. To do this, press and hold on your iPhone's screen until the icons start to wiggle. Tap the + icon in the corner of the screen. Find the Batteries widget, set it up, and add it to your screen.
This widget will display the battery status of all connected devices, including iPhone.
Check the fit of the ear tips
Put your AirPods Pro in your ears and go to Bluetooth in settings. Tap the "i" icon next to the AirPods Pro name, then look for 'Ear tip fit test'. This will help you choose the best ear tip size for your AirPods Pro, ensuring the best possible active noise cancellation (ANC) experience.
Hearing test
This is an exclusive feature of AirPods Pro 2. You can do a hearing test right on this new wireless headphone model from Apple.
Adaptive Sound
Apple's latest AirPods offer Adaptive Audio, which automatically combines Transparency and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) based on your environment for the best experience. You can switch between ANC, Transparency, and this new mode.
Nod to answer
AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2 have a handy ability that allows users to nod to answer incoming calls or messages.
Get to know the conversation
Adaptive Audio comes with a feature called Conversation Awareness, which allows AirPods Pro 2 owners to easily start a conversation while listening to music. Conversation Awareness reduces background noise and amplifies the voice of the person you're talking to.
Conversation Awareness can be enabled in the AirPods control center.
Find AirPods
One of the best features of the AirPods Pro 2 is the ability to find the MagSafe charging case using Precision Find in the Find My app. Other versions of AirPods can also use Bluetooth to find it, but the accuracy is not as good .
With these simple tips and tricks, you can get the most out of your AirPods and enjoy a better audio experience than ever before.
