Last week, 25 girls were kidnapped by gunmen from a public girls’ secondary school in Kebbi State, Nigeria, according to Women’s Agenda . The school’s vice principal was killed at the time. One student managed to escape, according to the school’s principal.
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu said on November 25 that the remaining 24 female students had been rescued.

"I am very relieved that all 24 girls have been found. We must now urgently deploy more forces in vulnerable areas to prevent further kidnappings," President Bola Tinubu said.
Details of the rescue have not been released.
Kebbi state governor Nasir Idris told media that the girls were "all well" and arrangements had been made to reunite them with their families.
In another similar incident, on November 21, gunmen stormed St Mary's Catholic School in Niger State, Nigeria, and kidnapped more than 300 teachers and students. Fifty students escaped over the weekend. Authorities said tactical teams were deployed along with local hunters to rescue the victims.
Meanwhile, police have also launched a search for 10 people, including five children, who were kidnapped on the evening of November 24 in Kwara state.
