The Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Construction requested the People's Committees of Nam Dinh and Vi Khe wards to direct the ward police forces and local authorities to coordinate with relevant units to regulate and guide traffic flow, avoiding traffic congestion; strengthen inspection and handling of traffic safety violations on the road and intersections; monitor and assess traffic conditions on the route and in the area to promptly identify shortcomings and propose appropriate traffic organization adjustments.

Earlier, at 8 PM on May 20th, an inland waterway vessel, numbered HD-5839, traveling from Hung Long towards Doc Bo, collided with the Do Quan bridge. The vessel's cabin became stuck on the bridge's steel girder. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Immediately after the incident, authorities and the local governments of Nam Dinh and Vi Khe wards rescued the vessel from its stuck position at 11 PM the same day; simultaneously, they restricted traffic across the bridge. Currently, authorities are inspecting and assessing the damage to the bridge.
