Ninh Thuan: Promoting the development of night-time economy to attract tourists.

Ninh Thuan province is actively mobilizing investment resources to develop its night-time economy , providing services such as food and beverage, shopping, entertainment, and cultural and artistic activities to diversify tourism products and extend the length of stay for tourists.

The goal is to attract up to 6 million visitors.

Implementing the night-time economic development plan for the period up to 2025, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City is being piloted as a driving force and core area for the development of Ninh Thuan's night-time economy. The province has allocated space for night-time economic development in the following areas: tourist night markets; pedestrian zones; Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach tourist area; the streets and new urban areas of the Northeast (K1 area), Binh Son - Ninh Chu coastal urban area (K2 area), and roads connecting to the sea.

During this phase, the province will focus on developing the first 1-2 areas in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City to create attractive cultural, artistic, and entertainment products to cater to nighttime entertainment needs, contributing to the goal of attracting approximately 3.5 million tourists to Ninh Thuan by 2025, with tourists using nighttime economic services accounting for about 65%. Total revenue from tourism activities is expected to reach 2,900 billion VND; the tourism sector will contribute 13% to the province's GRDP.

By 2030, Ninh Thuan will expand the scale of its night-time economic development, forming 4-6 more areas with new cultural, artistic, service, and entertainment products throughout the province. This will help increase the number of tourists to 6 million, of which approximately 70% will utilize night-time economic services; international tourists will account for about 14-15%. Revenue from tourism activities will reach 5,900 billion VND, with the tourism sector contributing 15% to the province's GRDP.

To implement this, Ninh Thuan province anticipates a total investment capital requirement of approximately 1,350 billion VND for projects and other activities to develop the night-time economy by 2030 (excluding investment projects from other economic sectors to develop key commercial and tourism centers). Of this amount, 410 billion VND will come from the state budget, with the remainder from socialized capital.

Mobilizing investment resources to develop the night-time economy.

According to Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, the province has issued a plan and assigned specific tasks to each department, agency, locality, and relevant unit to focus on implementing eight groups of solutions for the night-time economic development project. Specifically, the units will focus on developing plans for the types of products and services offered to develop the night-time economy, with a concrete implementation roadmap that is suitable to the conditions and capabilities of the infrastructure system, the demand for night-time services, the ability to allocate resources, and the mobilization of businesses and households in the area.

The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the People's Committee of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City and other localities to develop programs for organizing cultural and artistic activities in areas planned for nighttime economic development, especially organizing activities on pedestrian streets to create cultural and entertainment highlights at night.

At the same time, units and localities encouraged businesses and service and tourism establishments to participate in booths to promote tours, travel routes, food stalls, and unique OCOP products of the locality.

The Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center is tasked with strengthening efforts to attract investment in night-time economic programs and projects to organize activities and services that develop the night-time economy in the province; proposing tours, routes, destinations, and tourist areas that can be exploited to provide night-time tourism products and new tourism products to attract tourists in order to promote the brand and image of local tourism.

Ninh Thuan province is accelerating the completion and operation of tourism projects, especially large-scale, high-class coastal tourism projects to attract tourists, such as: a 5-star international standard luxury resort project combined with a commercial and culinary street; Binh Tien tourist area (phase 2); Nam Nui Chua ecological tourist area... The province encourages hotel and resort businesses to continuously invest in construction and renovation of spaces with new and unique architectural designs, and improve the quality of services.

In addition, units and localities are developing community-based tourism products and homestays linked to the night-time economy to create unique features and suit the trends and needs of tourists.
