Gold shop robbery

At around 8 p.m., two young men on a motorbike without a license plate, carrying a gun and pepper spray, stormed into the Duc Nam gold shop in Dong Gia town, Dong Cam commune, Kim Thanh district. While one of them used a hammer to smash the glass case to steal the gold, the other one held a gun and threatened the shop owner.

Discovering the robbery, the shop owner's son, Mr. Nguyen Dang Ninh, Chief of Police of Tuan Viet Commune, Kim Thanh District, rushed out of the house to disarm one robber, but was shot in the stomach and arm by the other robber.

Both robbers then took the gold and ran away, leaving the motorbike behind.

Currently, Mr. Ninh is being treated at Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital, Hai Phong City. Kim Thanh District Police are organizing a hunt for the perpetrator and examining the scene.

Duc Nam Gold Store is located on Provincial Road 188, bordering Hai Phong City. When the robbery occurred, it was raining lightly and there were few people on the road.
