Playing the role of Mrs. Ngoc, a mother of four children who are all divorced, People's Artist Thu Ha expressed her concerns about the divorce rate in modern society:
"There are many reasons for divorce, and in modern society, it's quite normal. In the past, when a family had a child who divorced, neighbors would ask about it, and some people hesitated to say that their child had divorced. Because it was a very serious social stigma back then."
In today's society, we talk about divorce more simply. Views on divorce have become more modern, but the consequences it leaves behind still have a profound impact on children, both families, and parents.
People's Artist Thu Hà shared her thoughts about the role.
The actress added that she accepted the role of Mrs. Ngoc because she empathized with and understood the character's pain of having four children who had gone through divorces.
"In this film, the greatest pain for parents is their children's divorce. I took on this role because I was certain that the pain of a mother with four children going through a divorce is immense, truly terrible. I knew this was a role with a lot of acting potential."
