"The Generation of Miracles" (formerly titled "Grandma, Don't Be Sad, My Son") explores the close relationship between generations, set against the backdrop of contemporary Hanoi urban life. The main character is Tien (Tran Tu), a young man who grew up under the nurturing care of his grandmother, Nga Tu (People's Artist Thanh Hoa). From childhood memories to the present, the grandmother-grandson bond becomes a strong connection, helping the character overcome hardships and learn to mature amidst the fast-paced life of Hanoi today.
This work marks the first time People's Artist Thanh Hoa has played a leading role in a feature film. Speaking about "The Generation of Miracles," the female artist said it was "a miraculous miracle in my life." "My childhood dream was to become an actress; I always dreamed of playing a princess. Near the end of my life, my dream of acting in a film has come true, even if I'm not a princess, I'm still happy," she said.
According to People's Artist Thanh Hoa, she cried from beginning to end while watching the film, moved to see herself transformed into a different character and reminded of the image of grandmothers and mothers for many Vietnamese people. "I hope the humanistic messages of the film will spread to the audience."

Meanwhile, director Hoang Nam said that he based the character on his grandmother. During the casting process, he felt that People's Artist Thanh Hoa was the most suitable person for the role, because she is a legend of Vietnamese art, an idol for many people. “People's Artist Thanh Hoa was very worried, because besides her love for cinema, she had never acted before. I convinced her that if she didn't do it now, she wouldn't have the opportunity to try it later when she was older. I hope that after this film, besides singer Thanh Hoa, there will be actress Thanh Hoa who is loved by the audience.”
Regarding the reason for changing the film's title, Hoang Nam said that from the moment he wrote the script, he aimed for a family story, carrying his personal nostalgia for his grandmother. Therefore, he titled the film "Grandma, Don't Be Sad About Me," but after editing, he realized that a grandmother's love is the driving force behind the miraculous achievements of her grandchildren. Coincidentally, during that period, the game "Anh Hai's Pho Shop" by a Vietnamese student became a global phenomenon. Connecting with this real-life story, he changed the film's title to "The Generation of Miracles" to encourage young people to create more miracles.

The director admitted that the protagonist Tiến's journey was inspired by a story by game creator Nguyễn Hà Đông 11 years ago. He also contacted Nguyễn Hà Đông, inviting him to play a cameo role. Upon hearing about the film's concept, Nguyễn Hà Đông was very happy but declined to participate, as he was hesitant to appear in front of cameras and crowds.
Besides People's Artist Thanh Hoa, "The Generation of Miracles" brings together actors Tran Tu, Hong Khanh, Huy Vo, Duong Hoang Hai, Tra My (Nang Mo), Ha Huong, Tuan Hung, People's Artist Bui Bai Binh, People's Artist Tran Luc, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, artist Quach Thu Phuong, Tuan Tu, and Thanh Huong. The film had early screenings from December 10th before its official release on December 12th.
