The original vehicle was a Polish-made model from 1980. He modified it using an assembly system made from recycled parts. The mechanism of this system allows for the generation of gas from burning charcoal, thereby providing direct energy to power the engine.

This modified vehicle can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h and has traveled considerable distances. This makes it a practical alternative to address the fuel shortages plaguing the country.

The mechanic himself shared that the idea for inventing this system stemmed from the need to maintain transportation in a context of extremely limited and expensive gasoline supplies.

The entire charcoal-powered system was constructed entirely from recycled materials, including a modified container and a homemade air filtration system. This clearly reflects the level of ingenuity many Cubans are employing to overcome the challenges of daily life.

This incident has generated considerable attention both domestically and internationally. His unique vehicle has now become an intriguing phenomenon, a clear testament to the intelligence and resourcefulness of the people.
