Nvidia's market capitalization is now higher than that of its four rivals AMD, Arm, Broadcom and Intel combined thanks to AI chips.
As of January 8, Nvidia's capitalization reached 3.43 trillion USD, more than double the capitalization of its four competitors ARM ($152.61 billion), Intel ($85.74 billion), AMD ($197.72 billion), Broadcom ($1.07 trillion) combined.
Nvidia remains well ahead of its closest US stock market rival, Microsoft ($3.16 trillion). The semiconductor giant is behind only one name, Apple ($3.67 trillion).
Under CEO Jensen Huang, Nvidia made history last year when it briefly surpassed Apple to become the world's most valuable company by market capitalization.
Nvidia's growth rate far exceeds other companies in the technology industry in general and semiconductors in particular.
Nvidia's market cap has nearly doubled from $1.2 trillion a year ago, and its stock has surged about 170%.
Wedbush analysts believe the company could reach a market capitalization of $5 trillion in the next 12 to 18 months.
Nvidia introduced its latest Blackwell GPU architecture, the successor to the Hopper architecture, in January 2024. At CES 2025, CEO Huang also provided information about robots and AI assistants in Nvidia's next growth phase.
Nvidia’s financial performance has also been strong over the past year. Revenue jumped more than 93% to $35.1 billion in the third quarter of 2024 from $18.1 billion a year earlier. Net income rose more than 100% in the same period to $19.3 billion.
