This also marks the fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal in the all-around competition that Japan has won. At 5:08 PM, China won the gold medal in the women's 10m platform synchronized diving event. Chinese athletes Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan scored 359.10 points, surpassing Jo Jin Mi and Kim Mi Rae (North Korea) to claim the gold medal. This is China's seventh gold medal and they have overtaken Japan to take the lead in the overall medal standings.
