OMODA C5 has received a 5-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP.

The 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating is based on four key safety assessment categories defined according to the latest ASEAN NCAP 2021-2025 protocol. The OMODA C5 achieved 36.77 points in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 17.36 points in Child Occupant Protection (COP), 19.51 points in Safety Assist (SA), and 15.00 points in Motorcyclist Safety (MS).

The OMODA C5 has made significant strides in vehicle safety with a range of safety features including six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), seatbelt reminders for both front and rear occupants, and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) for both city and intercity driving. In addition, the OMODA C5 is equipped with Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Automatic High Beam (AHB), and Pedestrian Protection (PP). Beyond these standard features, the OMODA C5 also includes an ADAS intelligent driving assistance package achieving Level 2.5 autonomous driving.

The 5-star rating not only underscores the commitment of Chery Corporation, OMODA & JAECOO brands to providing top-tier safety features, but also sets a benchmark for other vehicles in the region, contributing to a reduction in the high number of traffic fatalities in Southeast Asia.
