People and vehicles fell into a sinkhole when the road leading to the bridge suddenly eroded.

On the evening of October 26th, Mr. Le Minh Chien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Tan commune (Da Nang City), reported that heavy rain and flooding had caused serious subsidence on one side of the Ca Da bridge abutment on National Highway 24C, the section passing through the commune, resulting in localized traffic congestion.

Accordingly, at approximately 3 PM on the same day, floodwaters from upstream caused erosion of the road leading to the Ca Da bridge at Km85+095. The erosion almost completely damaged the road surface, creating a hole about 2 meters deep.

At that moment, a motorcyclist crossing the bridge fell into a sinkhole. Fortunately, the person was not injured and the motorcycle was pulled out.

According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Tan commune, the local authorities have directed functional forces to put up ropes and barriers at both ends of the bridge. At the same time, the local authorities have assigned personnel to be stationed on both sides to warn people and vehicles not to pass through this area to ensure safety.
