Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that Techfest Vietnam is an important event where ideas are nurtured, intelligence is gathered, and benefits are spread to the innovative startup community.
The Prime Minister stated that this is the 11th year Techfest Vietnam has been held and the 5th time he has personally attended, thereby demonstrating the deep interest of the Party, the Government, and the business community in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that innovation should not be just a slogan but must stem from the heart, becoming a genuine driving force for development. History has proven that human creativity knows no bounds, contributing to increased labor productivity, not only changing the way we live and work, but also becoming a key driver of growth, not merely an aspiration.

Emphasizing the role of people in the journey to conquer new heights, the Prime Minister affirmed that, under the leadership of the Party and the State, Vietnam has written a miraculous story, turning "the impossible into the possible," and developing steadily and sustainably step by step.
Amidst numerous fluctuations, the Vietnamese economy has maintained its growth momentum in most sectors, demonstrating strong resilience to external impacts. These achievements are due to many factors, most notably the sound leadership of the Party, unwavering strategic commitment, and timely, appropriate, and effective innovation.

The Prime Minister also frankly pointed out that, although Vietnam's innovation and startup ecosystem has achieved encouraging initial results, due to its slow starting point, the gap with the region and the world still remains, not commensurate with the intellectual potential and capabilities of the Vietnamese people.
Therefore, Vietnam needs satisfactory solutions to many major problems, including promoting effective linkages between domestic and FDI enterprises, thereby helping Vietnamese businesses participate more deeply in the global value chain, so that Vietnamese products can assert their value and reach further in regional and international markets. At the same time, it is necessary to accelerate the commercialization of scientific research results from Vietnamese scientists and universities, participate in new technological development trends such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence; and quickly establish national large databases, develop the data market, and promote artificial intelligence and computer science products mastered by Vietnam.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister urged businesses to strengthen human resource training from secondary to postgraduate levels, while also developing open laboratories and enhancing close cooperation between the State, universities, scientists, and investors, in order to quickly bring research results into practical application.
In addition, it is necessary to proactively invest in new models, gradually forming specific ecosystems in technology and strategic fields, and actively participate in investing in, mastering, and developing technology.

According to the organizers, Techfest Vietnam 2025 attracted more than 60,000 participants from corporations, startups, investment funds, support organizations, technology incubators, research institutes, universities, as well as representatives of prominent businesses and corporations, scientists and delegates from the domestic and international innovation and startup ecosystem, including: Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe.
