Readers' Lens: Watching soldiers "grow vegetables on rocks, raise fish on hills"

Standing on high mountains, with harsh climate and weather, soldiers of Regiment 95 (Mang Yang Group) of Division 2, Military Region 5 had to "grow vegetables on rocks and raise fish on hills".

Thanks to the successful implementation of the garden-pond-cage-rack-herd model and creativity in organization and implementation, the unit has saved on care, used irrigation water and land reasonably, bringing about very high economic efficiency, contributing to improving the lives of soldiers.

The unit's flock provides between 1,200 and 1,500 eggs per day.

On the hilltop, water is scarce but the unit still raises a lot of fish.
