Major Phouththavong Manotham, Head of the Military Bloc of the Lao People's Army (holding a sword), said that before coming to Vietnam to participate in the parade, the soldiers had trained in Laos for 2 months. This is the 3rd time the Lao People's Army has sent a delegation to participate in the parade, the previous 2 times were at the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam's Reunification in Ho Chi Minh City and the parade on Red Square in Russia. "We are very moved, honored and proud to represent the Lao People's Army to come to Vietnam to participate in the parade. During the preliminary review through Ba Dinh Square, we were very moved and in high spirits when standing shoulder to shoulder with the armies of Russia, Cambodia and Vietnam. Along with that, we received the enthusiastic support and welcome of the Vietnamese people. This has created good motivation for us to complete the mission", said Major Phouththavong Manotham.
