At the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense , the Russian Ministry of Defense sent 30 soldiers to participate in the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

Vietnam invited four countries: Russia, China, Laos, and Cambodia to send forces to participate in the parade.

The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense's invitation to countries sending troops to participate in the parade is an activity demonstrating the friendship, solidarity, and attachment between the Vietnamese people and Army with traditional friendly countries. At the same time, it affirms Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, and being a friend and reliable partner with all countries.

Previously, Cambodian and Laotian military delegations arrived in Vietnam on August 15-16. The two delegations stayed in Phu Tho and are practicing at the Mieu Mon National Training Center.
