Parade rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square tonight, August 21

After many months of training, tonight the armed forces, army and police will practice together for the first time at Ba Dinh Square.

According to the plan, the rehearsal for the parade will take place from around 8 p.m. The military and police will move from their bases to Hanoi's inner city to prepare.

Meanwhile, the artillery blocks participating in the parade were brought to the Ministry of Defense 's Command Center, the F1 racing area from the evening of August 18-19 to prepare for this training session.

After today's general training session, the forces will have another general training session on August 24 and two preliminary and final rehearsals before the official day on the morning of September 2.

The parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd will take place on the morning of September 2nd at Ba Dinh Square, including the traditional torch procession and flag-raising ceremony; the parade program includes: air force salute, military parade, and marching of the blocks in the order of the parade of the honor guard blocks, the parade of the walking blocks, the Vietnam People's Army blocks first, then the foreign army blocks, then the militia, guerrillas, and the police blocks.

After the parade, the march of the walking group will be followed by the parade of vehicles, military artillery, special police vehicles and the masses. After the parade, there will be an art program.

Gathering area for military: Phan Dinh Phung and Hoang Hoa Tham streets (pedestrian area); Bach Thao park (standing area); Phan Dinh Phung police area; Quan Thanh people area; vehicle area at the intersection of Hung Vuong - Phan Dinh Phung street on Thanh Nien and Nghi Tam streets; people participating: Bac Son street, Ton That Dam - Doc Lap intersection.

Route after passing the stage: Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trang Thi - Trang Tien street, August Revolution Square; military, foreign military, militia, and police walking block: Nguyen Thai Hoc - Kim Ma - Lieu Giai - Van Cao street - Quan Ngua stadium; Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trang Thi - Trang Tien street, August Revolution Square; Nguyen Thai Hoc - Le Duan street - Thong Nhat park.

The mobile police and cavalry turned right and followed Le Hong Phong - Ngoc Ha street to the assembly point at Bach Thao park.

The red flag block turns right onto Le Hong Phong street (changes formation into 8 vertical rows), follows Doi Can - Giang Van Minh - Kim Ma - Lieu Giai street, to the assembly point at Quan Ngua Stadium.

Mass groups, cultural and sports groups: after passing the stage, go straight along Hang Chao alley to the assembly point at Hang Day stadium.

Tank and tracked vehicle routes to the Ministry of National Defense headquarters; tire vehicle routes: take Cua Bac - Nghi Tam - Au Co - Vo Chi Cong - Duong Lang - Tran Duy Hung - Thang Long Boulevard - Le Quang Dao - F1 racetrack; Nguyen Thai Hoc - Giang Vo - Lang - Tran Duy Hung - Thang Long Boulevard - Le Quang Dao - F1 racetrack.
