Naval Academy holds conference to set open exam questions

On the afternoon of August 21, the Naval Academy held an open exam conference. Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Thanh Cong - Director of the Academy chaired the meeting.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the current status of the implementation of open exam questions in recent times. The opinions expressed that the academy has initially applied the form of open exam questions in a number of courses and subjects, contributing to encouraging independent and creative thinking, developing the ability to apply knowledge into practice of students. At the same time, they pointed out the limitations, causes and proposed directions and measures for organizing and implementing in the coming time.

The conference unanimously agreed that innovation in the direction of open exams is an important and urgent requirement that needs to be focused on and promoted, contributing to improving the quality of education , training, and scientific research of the academy, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Concluding the conference, the Director of the Academy acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the delegates; at the same time, he emphasized that creating open exams is an inevitable requirement for the process of improving the quality of education and training, meeting the requirements of building a team of Navy officers with strong political will, good expertise, creative thinking, and the ability to solve practical problems. At the same time, he requested agencies, faculties, and departments to organize training and fostering for officers and lecturers on methods of building, creating open exams, and evaluating exam results to ensure scientific, rigorous, and consistent with the training program's output standards; promote the application of information technology and digital technology in building, managing, exploiting exam questions, and evaluating exams in an open direction.
