This is the reality facing the domestic consumption market which still has a lot of potential for Vietnamese agricultural products in general and Lam Dong in particular. Therefore, how to support farmers, businesses, and cooperatives to spread their products so that more people know and consume them is a problem that local authorities, the agricultural sector, and farmers are concerned about.

Recently, on August 19, the "Dragon Fruit Livestream Party" held in Ham Kiem commune with the theme Connecting - Spreading - Enhancing agricultural products created a positive effect.

This program is organized by Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association in collaboration with the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, Artist Thanh Thuy, with the participation of local authorities and a number of cooperatives, owners of agricultural production facilities in the province. This is a special event to honor dragon fruit - the pride of Lam Dong land and people.

On the other hand, it is also an opportunity to promote typical agricultural products to the world . As a connector at the "Dragon Fruit Livestream Party", Artist Thanh Thuy shared that she wants to contribute to spreading and bringing the value of agricultural products of the people, including dragon fruit products, to domestic and foreign consumers by accompanying farmers to directly share and sell products on the internet.

According to the Organizing Committee, after the first livestream session, the program attracted the attention of nearly 2 million views and more than 210 live viewers. After 2 livestream sessions, there were more than 300 orders for traditional fish sauce products with nearly 1,000 bottles of fish sauce; over 1 ton of fresh dragon fruit and processed dragon fruit sold more than 200 orders. Thereby, opening up new opportunities and space for consuming agricultural products for the locality.

Accordingly, with just a smartphone, an internet connection and the right strategy, Lam Dong dragon fruit or any specialty can reach the dining tables of customers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and even abroad... For local people and businesses, it is possible to start by putting products on e-commerce platforms such as TikTok Shop, filming videos, livestreaming sales right in the garden, at the factory, so that customers can see the transparent planting - harvesting - processing process.

At the same time, connect online payment and shipping, so that orders are processed quickly and money is returned safely. The benefit of digital transformation is unlimited market expansion.

Also participating in this event, Mr. Nguyen Minh Thi - Chairman of Ham Kiem Commune People's Committee said: Ham Kiem Commune currently has over 3,000 hectares of dragon fruit but the current price is unstable, so gardeners are facing many difficulties.

Therefore, the locality will continue to coordinate with the Dragon Fruit Association to promote dragon fruit products and expand the market through many channels, including sales on digital platforms. At the same time, the locality is focusing on producing GlobalGAP and VietGAP dragon fruit production models to improve quality and meet domestic and foreign markets.

Sharing the same idea of selling agricultural products on the internet with the participation of local authorities, recently, information about the leaders of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province (now Bac Ninh province) went to the garden with farmers to livestream and sold more than 54 tons of lychee.

In the coming days, a female Party Secretary of a commune in Dak Lak province will livestream with locals selling durian. The goal is to promote the province’s durian brand to consumers nationwide, with the government’s commitment to accompany farmers.

Obviously, selling online is an inevitable trend in the digital age.

For Vietnamese agricultural products in general and Lam Dong province's agricultural products in particular, stimulating the market through digital platforms, with the contribution of local authorities and influential celebrities in the country, will be a new step. From there, it opens up opportunities to spread the typical agricultural product brands of each locality to consumers.

At the "Dragon Fruit Livestream Party", Artist Thanh Thuy and a number of local dragon fruit businesses and cooperatives conducted a TikTok Shop Livestream to introduce dragon fruit and other local agricultural products and specialties and Facebook Livestream - Stories of connecting and selling specialties.
