The Women's Union of Co Do Commune, Can Tho City always strives to deploy and effectively implement the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", the model "5 yes's, 3 clean's" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. The movements and activities are increasingly diverse and practical, such as: environmental sanitation; building green - clean - beautiful roads; supporting members in economic development, building prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized families...

Cadres of the Women's Union of Co Do commune propagate the criteria of "5 no, 3 clean", "5 yes, 3 clean" to each household of members and women.

After 8 a.m., the sun was starting to get harsh, but Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, Head of the Women's Association of Thanh Hung Hamlet, was still persistent in weeding and planting flowers along the road in front of her house... Ms. Loan said: "Taking advantage of the weekends, my sisters and I cleaned the environment and planted about 200 brocade flowers on the Co Do - Thoi Xuan route."

According to Ms. Loan, over the years, the staff and members of the Women's Union of Thanh Hung Hamlet have carried out many tasks to participate in the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" and the model "5 yes's, 3 clean's". Every quarter, the Union organizes regular meetings and deploys to the women many contents: building happy families; mobilizing women to actively work and produce, improving their lives...

Ms. Ly Thi Nhanh, President of the Women's Union of Co Do commune, said that every year, the Women's Union of the commune builds a propaganda plan to implement the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" (no poverty, no malnourished children, no third or more children, no domestic violence, no violations of the law and social evils; clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley); building a model of "Family of 5 yes's, 3 clean's" (having a safe house, having a sustainable livelihood, having health, having knowledge, having a cultural lifestyle; clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley) associated with the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas". Through Executive Committee meetings and regular activities, the Union integrates propaganda and guides women on knowledge about food safety; environmental sanitation; prevention and control of social evils; preventing domestic violence... The Commune Women's Union has launched 3 models of "Family of 5 yes, 3 clean" in Thoi Trung hamlet, Thoi Binh 2 hamlet and Thoi Xuan hamlet; maintained and expanded the models of "Going to the market with plastic bags, limiting the use of plastic bags associated with the commitment to implementing the campaign to build the model of 5 yes, 3 clean", "Women self-classify garbage in daily life associated with garbage collection"... In the period of 2021-2025, the Union has helped 155 households meet the criteria of "Family of 5 no, 3 clean".

In addition, the Women's Union of Co Do commune is interested in taking care of the lives of its members, helping them develop their economy and increase their income. Currently, the Union is maintaining 3 revolving capital contribution groups with 45 members; 38 savings and loan groups from the Social Policy Bank, helping over 1,600 members borrow capital to develop their family economy, with a total outstanding debt of over 81 billion VND; supporting 120 women to borrow capital from the Can Tho Women's Economic Development Support Fund with a total amount of over 1 billion VND. Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Tuyen in Thoi Hiep hamlet shared: “For many years now, I have opened a small grocery store at home. Thanks to the capital of 20 million VND from the Social Policy Bank, I have invested in many more products, earning a profit of about 200,000 VND per day. In 2024, I continued to borrow 50 million VND to renovate 2 hectares of mixed garden, plant 270 Ruby guava trees, and 55 Mongthong durian trees. Up to now, the guava has started to generate income.”

In the period of 2021-2025, the Women's Union of Co Do commune supported 32 women to start up and successfully start businesses; built 4 cooperative models to develop production; introduced 956 workers to work at companies and factories; coordinated to open a primary vocational class "Water hyacinth weaving" in Thoi Xuan hamlet. At the same time, effectively maintained employment models, such as: "Sewing processing" association group, "Hook making group", "Cashew shelling group", "Plastic rope weaving"... Through practical activities, the Union has helped 21 poor and near-poor households with women to escape poverty and near-poverty.

Ms. Ly Thi Nhanh, President of the Women's Union of Co Do commune, informed: "In the coming time, the Women's Union of the commune will continue to improve its organizational structure; innovate its content and methods of operation in a practical direction, taking women's satisfaction as a measure; focus on supporting women to start businesses, borrow capital to develop the economy, build happy families; protect the rights of women and children; gather women on cyberspace, participate in digital transformation... Along with that, the Union continues to carry out the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era"; build "Families of 5 no, 3 clean", "5 yes, 3 clean"; contribute to building an increasingly developed locality.
