Support 95 members, women to escape poverty and near poverty

(CT) - In the period of 2021-2025, the Women's Union of Cai Rang ward continues to promote activities to support women in economic development, help each other to sustainably reduce poverty and ensure social security.

In particular, the Association established and effectively maintained 6 cooperatives and professional association groups to create jobs for female members, such as: women's group for garment processing, cooperative group for making traditional cakes, women's group for cooking after vocational training... with 75 members, average income from 3-5 million VND/person/month; supported 84 women to start successful businesses.

At the same time, the Ward Women's Union has strengthened coordination with functional departments to support members and women in accessing loans managed by the union. Currently, the whole union has 36 groups borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank, with nearly 1,690 households borrowing, serving production and small trading. At the same time, it maintains 31 savings groups; introduces and creates jobs for 1,580 women. The union mobilizes to give over 13,190 gifts to members and women in difficult circumstances.

From many practical support solutions, in the period of 2021-2025, the association helped 95 poor and near-poor households with women to escape poverty and near-poverty.
