Today, Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masan Group, was added back to Forbes' list of the world's billionaires. With a net worth of $1.1 billion, this businessman ranks 2,945th globally. Previously, at the end of March, he was removed from this list by Forbes .

Forbes ranks individuals based on the number and price of stocks they hold at a given time. Additionally, they assess other assets held by billionaires, including ownership in private companies, real estate, artwork, yachts, and more.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, born in 1963 in Quang Tri province , holds a PhD in nuclear physics. He founded Masan Group in 1996 and brought the brand to Vietnam in 2002. The group is currently one of the largest businesses in the food and beverage sector, owning numerous brands such as Chinsu chili sauce and Nam Ngu fish sauce.

Besides being the founder and chairman of Masan Group, this businessman is also a member of the board of directors of Techcombank. He directly holds 18 shares of MSN, but indirectly owns hundreds of millions of shares of these two companies through his private companies.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang has become a billionaire again following positive developments in MSN and TCB stocks. MSN has increased 43% from its low point in early April, while TCB has improved by 44%.

Besides the Chairman of Masan, Vietnam has four other USD billionaires: Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Mr. Ho Hung Anh, Mr. Tran Dinh Long, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.

The positive performance of MSN and TCB shares since the beginning of the year has also helped increase the assets of Mr. Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Techcombank, by $600 million.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vingroup, remains the richest person in Vietnam with a net worth of $10.4 billion, an increase of $6 billion since the beginning of the year. This businessman's wealth increased thanks to Vingroup's VIC stock rising 130% in the past six months.

Hoa Phat Chairman Tran Dinh Long and Sovico Chairman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao both recorded a decrease in their assets. Accordingly, the assets of these two billionaires decreased by $600 million and $300 million respectively.
