According to Forbes' analysis, 2025 will see the highest number of self-made billionaires in their 20s ever recorded, with approximately 13 individuals, far surpassing the previous record of 7.
Notably, most of these individuals have seen their wealth skyrocket recently. Specifically, 11 out of the 13 new faces joining the ranks of the ultra-rich have done so in just the past three months. This list includes prominent names such as Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan, Loveable startup co-founder Fabian Hedin, and AI entrepreneur Arvid Lunnemark.
Most of these young and ultra-wealthy founders amassed their fortunes by quickly seizing opportunities in the booming AI industry. Of the 11 young entrepreneurs who became billionaires in just the past few months, eight amassed their huge fortunes thanks to innovative initiatives in the AI field. For example, Sualeh Asif (25 years old) achieved success as a co-founder of Anysphere – the team behind Cursor, the popular AI-powered source code editor currently valued at $29.3 billion.
The other two founders, Adarsh Hiremeth and Surya Midha (both only 22 years old), co-founded Mercor – an AI-powered recruitment startup that connects talent with the largest AI labs in Silicon Valley.
Notably, one of the 11 entrepreneurs under 30 joining the ultra-rich list at the end of this year is Luana Lopes Lara, who just became the world's youngest self-made female billionaire. Earlier this month, Lopes Lara's net worth skyrocketed to $1.3 billion after her predictive market startup, Kalshi, reached a valuation of $11 billion.
