On the afternoon of April 19, at the Party Central Headquarters, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac received the delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Justice led by Central Committee member, member of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, and Minister of Justice of China Xia Rong, who was visiting and working in Vietnam.
Mr. Phan Dinh Trac welcomed the visit of the delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Justice to Vietnam, with the aim of promptly concretizing the common understanding between the two General Secretaries of the two Parties and the contents of cooperation in the field of justice and law as stated in the Vietnam-China Joint Statements of 2022 and 2023.

Head of the Central Committee for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries in the past period and the talks between the two ministers of justice, especially the directions and measures to promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of law and justice.
Mr. Phan Dinh Trac emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to consolidating and developing Vietnam-China relations, and is ready to work with China to elevate bilateral relations to a new level, effectively implementing high-level common understandings, joint statements, and cooperation documents signed between the two sides, including in the field of justice and law.
From there, he suggested that both sides strengthen the sharing of theoretical research findings and practical summaries in building a socialist rule of law state, judicial reform, combating corruption, controlling power, and combating vested interests in lawmaking, serving the cause of the two Parties and the two countries.
The Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission highly appreciated the agreement between the two sides to establish a mechanism for judicial conferences of provinces sharing a border between Vietnam and China.
Chinese Justice Minister Xia Rong emphasized that the visit aimed to implement the high-level common understanding reached between the two General Secretaries of the two Parties, and the Vietnam-China Joint Statement, which includes contents on judicial and legal cooperation.
Expressing agreement with Vietnam's proposals, the Chinese Minister of Justice stated that strengthening cooperation between the two Ministries of Justice in particular, and in the field of justice and law in general, is an important aspect of cooperation between the two countries; especially after both sides agreed to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and build a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future.
The Chinese Ministry of Justice is ready to work with the Central Internal Affairs Commission and relevant agencies of Vietnam to thoroughly implement the high-level common understanding and signed documents, bringing cooperation between the two sides in the field of justice and law to achieve more positive and substantive results.
Both sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in areas such as governing the country according to law and building a socialist rule of law state.
China is ready to deepen substantive cooperation with Vietnam.
Establish a Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China.
