Mr. Tran Phong, Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee, has been elected as Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On the afternoon of December 10th, the Executive Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to address personnel matters.
At the conference, Quang Binh Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang announced the document from the Central Party Office informing of the Central Party Secretariat's opinion agreeing to nominate Mr. Tran Phong, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Hoi City, to be elected as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Next, Mr. Tran Vu Khiem, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, presented the Provincial Party Committee's proposal regarding the election of the Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, 17th term, 2020-2025.
The conference discussed and agreed with the Provincial Party Standing Committee's proposal to nominate Mr. Tran Phong, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Hoi City, for the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
As a result, 100% of the votes unanimously elected Mr. Tran Phong to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Also at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang and Standing Deputy Provincial Party Secretary Tran Hai Chau presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Tran Phong on being elected by the Provincial Party Committee to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, 17th term, 2020-2025.
Mr. Tran Phong (50 years old, from Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province); holds an advanced level of political theory and a master's degree in economics.
Prior to assuming the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Phong held various positions such as: Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; and Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee. In October 2020, Mr. Tran Phong was elected as a member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee and assigned to the position of Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee.
