Petrolimex announces streamlined, efficient system from October 1, 2025

On September 30, 2025, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) announced decisions on the organization and restructuring of the apparatus from the Group's office to its member companies. This is also part of Petrolimex's roadmap to vigorously implement Resolution 18-NQ/TW, closely following the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Finance on continuing to innovate and streamline the organization and apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently.

Member of the Government Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of Petrolimex Board of Directors Pham Van Thanh emphasized that the restructuring of the apparatus is of key significance in reshaping the system of units in the entire industry towards streamlining, professionalism and efficiency.

The announcement ceremony was held online to Petrolimex member units.

Within the framework of the "Project to organize and arrange Petroleum Companies under the Group", according to the announced decisions, from October 1, 2025, the number of Petroleum Companies under Petrolimex will be arranged from 51 to 34, corresponding to each province and city having only one Company to manage the entire system of petroleum stations (CHXD) owned in that province or city in accordance with the new administrative boundaries.

In synchronization with this important Project, the Group also arranged to reduce three functional Departments following the criteria of streamlining and reducing focal points to ensure effective and efficient operations.

The arrangement was carried out in a democratic and scientific manner, ensuring the legitimate rights of workers, maintaining stability and continuity in the supply of petroleum to serve the economy and people's lives in the spirit of "assessing while doing" to promptly propose more reasonable and effective adjustments in the coming time.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Member of the Government Party Committee - Party Secretary - Chairman of Petrolimex Board of Directors Pham Van Thanh emphasized that this is the largest-scale event ever at Petrolimex, playing a key role in reshaping the system towards streamlining, professionalism and efficiency, approaching international standards on governance and operation; enhancing the stature of a large-scale economic group. The implementation of a massive, unprecedented amount of work in a short period of time demonstrates the Group's determination and initiative in implementing the restructuring project for the period 2021 - 2025.

This is part of a comprehensive development strategy to ensure that Petrolimex is not only a petroleum supplier but also a leader in the fields of new energy and digital transformation. The effective and successful arrangement of Petroleum Companies also closely follows the Central Government's direction on creating new development space to improve management efficiency, optimize resources, and enhance the competitiveness of the entire Petrolimex system.

On behalf of the Group's leadership, comrade Pham Van Thanh acknowledged the support and joint efforts of Petrolimex employees for the success of the "Project to organize and reorganize Petroleum Companies under the Group"; expressed confidence in the personnel work at the functional departments and member units after the reorganization; requested the units to quickly stabilize the organization, immediately start building and implementing synchronous production and business solutions, strive to excellently complete the planned targets set for 2025, determined to successfully implement the major policies of the Party and State, and join the country in entering a new era with sustainable development goals.
