Assigning additional tasks to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.

(HGO) - The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision assigning the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to sign documents directing tasks previously handled by Ms. Ho Thu Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Specifically, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, monitors and resolves issues related to the following fields: Education and training; health; information and communication ; science and technology . He directly oversees and directs the Department of Education and Training; the Department of Information and Communication; the Department of Science and Technology; and the Department of Health .

Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, oversees and resolves issues related to the following fields: Culture, arts, physical education, sports, tourism, family; labor - war invalids and social affairs; radio and television ; ethnic affairs; social issues and social organizations; foreign affairs and human rights. He directly monitors and directs: the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Department of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs; the Provincial Radio and Television Station; the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee; Hau Giang Community College; the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations; the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations; the Provincial Red Cross Society; the Provincial Literature and Arts Association; and the Provincial Project Management Board for Civil and Industrial Construction.

Previously, Ms. Ho Thu Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, was transferred and appointed as Secretary of the Vi Thuy District Party Committee. This is the first time in over 20 years since the separation of Hau Giang province that a female district Party secretary has been appointed. Ms. Ho Thu Anh, born in 1976, has worked for a long time in Vi Thanh City, having served as Vice Chairman of the Vi Thanh City People's Committee, and later as Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. At the 19th session of the Provincial People's Council in early December 2020, Ms. Anh was elected Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with a very high number of votes, making her the first female Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in the province.
