On November 6, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular October meeting to give opinions on 28 contents according to the working regulations of the Provincial People's Committee, of which 27 contents will be submitted to the end-of-year meeting of the Provincial People's Council in 2023. Representatives of the Provincial People's Council's committees and leaders of departments and branches attended. The conference was connected online to the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in the province.
According to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment, the socio -economic, defense and security situation in the province tends to recover positively, with each month being better than the previous month and each quarter being higher than the previous quarter.
It is estimated that in 2023, the whole province will have 16/17 targets achieved and exceeded the plan (of which 5 targets exceeded the plan). The total development investment capital in the area is estimated at nearly 24,213 billion VND. The situation of agricultural - forestry - fishery production is basically stable. The total number of tourists to Phu Yen is estimated at 3.1 million, an increase of 39.6% over the same period.
The provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, has been approved by the Central Planning Appraisal Council and is striving to complete and submit to the Prime Minister for approval in 2023.
Regarding social security, the province synchronously and effectively implemented the task of state management of labor and employment, creating new jobs for 28,350 workers. The quality of education at all levels was basically maintained, ensuring the program content according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The 2024 socio-economic development plan was built in a context of mixed difficulties and advantages. The province set a number of targets such as: the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 7.5%, total state budget revenue of VND 5,389 billion, total export turnover of USD 285 million... Phu Yen focuses on mobilizing and effectively using resources to invest in developing the socio-economic infrastructure system, especially regional transport infrastructure.
Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities to promote a sense of responsibility, urgently implement tasks; strive to achieve the highest goals and targets set for 2023, especially the budget revenue target.
Comrade Ta Anh Tuan suggested that the whole province promote administrative procedure reform, improve the investment and business environment, and promote socio-economic development. Departments, branches, and localities continue to review socio-economic indicators from now until the end of the year to update accurately; deploy solutions to prevent and combat natural disasters, and avoid being passive when unexpected situations occur. Localities with projects passing through must carry out site clearance well to ensure the implementation of projects.
Regarding the content of the draft submissions and reports at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the drafting agency to coordinate with sectors and localities to receive the opinions of delegates, synthesize and complete them for promulgation as soon as possible.
