Published by Nha Nam and the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House, the book consists of two parts revolving around many events that take place both inside and outside Tí's house, yet reading it feels as familiar as reading one's own home. In the first part, from celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year), how to treat others, flattering one's wife, to tolerating one's husband, to going to school, social media… Phan Thi Vang Anh recreates these stories with her familiar humor, so that behind the laughter, we can further reflect on many issues, from the closeness and intimacy within the family to the generation gap, gender resentments, and the fast-paced modern life…
Three recently released works by Phan Thi Vang Anh
Moving beyond family matters, Part 2 delves deeper into adult issues, from marriage and charity work to office life, finances, career, and fame. Instead of preaching or judgmental, the author's writing is more like sharing and empathy, allowing readers to find laughter amidst the awkward situations and plot twists, a way to alleviate the unchangeable aspects of life.
On this occasion, two other works, "A Rider's Little Notes" and a collection of short stories under her own name, have also been republished by Tre Publishing House. Through these works, such as "When People Are Young," "Children's Stories," and "The Fair," which once brought Phan Thi Vang Anh fame in Vietnamese literature, will continue to reach a new audience.
