Launching a journalism contest on environmental protection for the Industry and Trade sector in 2025

In order to spread the message of economic development associated with environmental protection, contributing to the effective implementation of the National Strategy on Green Growth and the commitment to achieving net emissions of "0" by 2050, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the Launching Ceremony of the Journalism Award on Environmental Protection in the Industry and Trade Sector in 2025.

Environmental protection is a continuous and vital task of the Industry and Trade sector in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country, especially in the context of deep integration and international commitments such as COP26, equitable energy transition, and circular economic development. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has determined that the media must be one step ahead, playing the role of leading public opinion, raising community awareness, creating social consensus and encouraging businesses to act for the environment. The press is the "spearhead" in spreading the idea of green development, encouraging advanced models, while reflecting on shortcomings and promoting policy improvement.

Launching the journalism contest on environmental protection in the Industry and Trade sector 2025 -0 — Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Industry and Trade Newspaper, launched the "Press Writing Contest on Environmental Protection in the Industry and Trade Sector" in 2025.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Industry and Trade Newspaper, the 2025 Writing Contest on Environmental Protection of the Industry and Trade Sector continues to arouse the sense of responsibility and creativity of journalists, collaborators, and experts, to join hands for a sustainable and environmentally friendly Industry and Trade sector.

The launching ceremony of the 2025 Industry and Trade Environmental Protection Writing Contest was held on World Environment Day, June 5, an occasion for the whole world to raise their voices for action for sustainable living on the green planet. Through the contest, initiatives, perspectives and vivid stories will be spread, contributing to arousing community responsibility in the work of conserving resources, protecting the environment and creating a nature-friendly industry and trade.

Regarding the contest rules, the representative of the Organizing Committee said that the entries focus on reflecting the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection in the industry and trade sector. Typical models, businesses and units apply clean technology, save energy, reduce emissions. Analyze challenges and solutions in pollution treatment, control of waste sources, and develop a circular economy.

Introduce green initiatives, technologies, and energy conversion in various sectors. Promote awareness changes, sustainable consumption behaviors, fight against plastic waste, and use resources effectively. Reflect on problems and shortcomings, thereby proposing appropriate policy solutions.

Contestants are professional and non-professional journalists, collaborators, media officers, experts, and media workers inside and outside the Industry and Trade sector. Each individual or group of authors (maximum 5 people) can submit multiple works.

Genre: News, articles, reports, interviews, comments, monographs, panel discussions, journalistic essays...

Format: The work has been published in print and electronic newspapers from October 1, 2023 to July 30, 2025. The deadline for receiving works is from the launch date to August 15, 2025.

Regarding the award structure, there will be a total of 21 prizes including: 1 special prize, 2 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 5 C prizes, 8 Consolation prizes and 2 Special prizes.
