Mr. Cung Trong Cuong - Hue City Development Research Institute, introduces the Hue Book Collection.

The competition launch ceremony took place on the morning of April 22nd, with the participation of a large number of young people studying at member universities and affiliated faculties of Hue University; and universities, colleges, and vocational schools in Hue City.

Accordingly, contestants can submit entries in the form of short videos or written articles describing their experiences and feelings about the publications in the Hue Book Collection. Specifically, videos should be a maximum of 5 minutes, and written articles should not exceed 2,000 words.

The competition's content, as guided by the organizers, revolves around reflections on books from the Hue Book Collection, promoting reading culture among young people, showcasing Hue's heritage through books, and exploring Hue through reading.

The organizers will judge the entries based on criteria such as content and message, creativity, technical execution, emotions conveyed, and reach. There will also be an online voting component.

The organizing committee is expected to announce and award prizes on May 25th, with a structure of 1 first prize worth 3 million VND, 2 second prizes (1.5 million VND each), 3 third prizes (1 million VND each), and 5 consolation prizes (500,000 VND each). Each prize also includes a voucher for purchasing books and publications from the Hue Book Collection.

According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City, in the context of the ongoing digital transformation, access to knowledge has changed significantly. Younger generations not only read books in traditional ways but also have the ability to access knowledge through digital platforms, open data, and especially the application of artificial intelligence in learning and research.

Therefore, the competition was organized not only to spread the value of the project, but also to build a new generation of readers - young people who know how to harmoniously combine foundational knowledge and modern technology, and combine love for Hue culture with in-depth research capabilities.

“Through this competition, we expect to discover and nurture individuals with independent thinking abilities, digital transformation skills, and the ability to effectively apply technological tools and artificial intelligence in learning and research. This will help form a high-quality successor generation, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Hue's heritage in the new context,” Mr. Hai shared.
