Tien Phong Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with Thanh Chuong Co., Ltd. (Eras Stationery) and the Vietnam Beautiful Handwriting Club, has officially launched the 2nd Vietnam Beautiful Handwriting Contest. This is a platform for primary school students nationwide, aiming to encourage them to practice beautiful handwriting, contributing to preserving and spreading the traditional cultural values of the nation.
This year's competition, themed "My Dream," aims to encourage students to share their thoughts and aspirations through their handwriting. Students can register individually or through their primary schools, centers, clubs, education and training departments, or provincial education and training departments.
The organizing committee will evaluate the entries based on criteria such as accuracy, aesthetics, uniformity, and correct spelling of the handwriting, in accordance with the regulations on handwriting models for primary schools issued by the Minister of Education and Training .

At the launch ceremony, Mr. Bui Van Phuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tien Phong Company and Head of the competition organizing committee, emphasized that handwriting has long been a symbol of knowledge and culture, and an indispensable part of a person's educational and developmental journey. Handwriting also partly expresses the personality, soul, and thinking of the writer.
For students, practicing handwriting not only helps them perfect their skills but also fosters perseverance, discipline, and an appreciation for knowledge. These are also fundamental elements for students to build character and achieve their dreams in the future.
"The theme of the competition, 'My Dream,' aims to encourage children to express their thoughts, feelings, and dreams through their handwriting, helping them define their self-worth, nurture their aspirations, and record their pure dreams towards a bright future," Mr. Phuong shared.
The outstanding student representative who won first prize in the 2023 "Beautiful Vietnamese Handwriting" competition, Quách Gia Nhi, a 3rd grade student from Hương Sơn Primary School ( Thái Nguyên province), shared her joy and pride in participating in this meaningful competition. After the competition, she is always conscious of carefully practicing her handwriting because "handwriting reflects character."
The competition is expected to be divided into two rounds. The preliminary round will run from the competition launch date until March 25, 2025, during which students will complete two written tests on paper. The final round is scheduled to take place on April 19 and 20, 2025, in Hanoi. Outstanding students from the preliminary round will showcase their talents before a judging panel comprising teachers and experts in the fields of education and culture.
The organizing committee will award over 1,000 valuable prizes to outstanding students, including first, second, third, fourth, and consolation prizes. In addition, special awards will also be given to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements or exceptional circumstances.
