Over the past period, food safety assurance work in the province has benefited from close and effective coordination among various sectors and localities. From 2023 to the present, the province has established 562 inter-sectoral and specialized inspection and monitoring teams on food safety; conducting inspections of over 11,600 food processing, production, and business establishments. Of these, 922 establishments were administratively penalized for violations, with a total fine of nearly 4.5 billion VND... In the last two years, food poisoning incidents in the province have decreased.

From 2023 to the present, administrative penalties have been imposed on 922 establishments for violations, totaling nearly 4.5 billion VND.

However, ensuring food safety still faces difficulties and challenges. Therefore, the Food Safety Action Month, taking place from April 15th to May 15th, is a time for all sectors, levels, and the entire population to participate in strengthening activities to ensure food safety and protect public health.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Giang Thi Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, urged all levels, sectors, the political system, and the people to actively respond to and effectively implement the goals of the Food Safety Action Month. She called for strengthening inspections and strictly handling organizations, individuals, and production and business establishments that violate regulations on food security and safety; building and developing safe agricultural production areas, concentrated livestock farming and slaughtering areas; and strengthening efforts to prevent food poisoning.

Comrade Giàng Thị Dung urged all levels, sectors, the political system, and the people to effectively implement the goals of the Food Safety Action Month.

Following the launching ceremony, units, departments, armed forces, and youth union members marched, promoted, and publicized the "Month of Action for Food Safety and Hygiene" in 2024 along the streets of Pho Lu town, Bao Thang district.
