Reading the message of the 2569th Vesak Festival, Most Venerable Thich Tri Quang, Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Council, said: This year's Vesak season has special significance for Buddhism and the Vietnamese people when the United Nations Vesak Festival (Vesak 2025) is held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025).

The organizers presented the message of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

Most Venerable Thich Tri Quang called on Buddhists and everyone to unite, be harmonious and actively build a peaceful and happy world, spreading love with compassion and the light of wisdom.

On behalf of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee, sent his sincere wishes for the 2569th Buddha's Birthday and good health to monks, nuns and Buddhists; and said that the City's successful hosting and organization of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival contributes to affirming the position and prestige of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the international community.

Delegates respectfully offered incense to Buddha.

According to comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Ho Chi Minh City always accompanies and creates favorable conditions for religious activities, builds a civilized and healthy religious living environment, contributes to building and promoting the great national unity bloc to maintain stability, sustainable development and improve the quality of material and spiritual life of the people.

On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City donated 2 billion VND to the Fund for the Poor in Ho Chi Minh City and the Fund for the Homeland's Seas and Islands - for the Frontline of the Fatherland.
