Developing strategic cybersecurity solutions

At the "Developing Strategic Cybersecurity Solutions" program, a range of cybersecurity products for organizations, businesses, and critical information systems was announced.

Strategic autonomy in technology

On the afternoon of May 12th, at the National Innovation Center (NIC), SCS Smart Cybersecurity Company (SafeGate brand) held a program titled "Developing Strategic Cybersecurity Solutions," officially announcing its range of cybersecurity products for organizations, businesses, and critical information systems.

Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), delivered the opening remarks.

Strategic technologies have been identified as a central focus in Vietnam's development orientation for science , technology, innovation, and digital transformation. To clearly identify core technology areas that require priority investment, research, and development, the Government has recently developed and issued a list of strategic technologies and strategic technology products.

Notably, in both the 2025 edition and the updated version dated April 30, 2026, cybersecurity technologies and cybersecurity solutions for critical infrastructure and national databases are included in the "List of Strategic Technologies and List of Strategic Technology Products".

In his opening remarks, Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), stated that, in implementing the direction outlined in Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and Decision 515/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Enhancing the operational capacity of the national cybersecurity force," the NIC has been assigned to coordinate with the Vietnam Network of Innovation and Cybersecurity Experts (ViSecurity) and other relevant units to promote the innovation ecosystem in the field of cybersecurity.

To date, ViSecurity has attracted the active participation of many businesses, research institutes, universities, and organizations both domestically and internationally. Notably, SafeGate is one of the members that has been involved in building the network from the very beginning.

"SafeGate is a business incubated, supported, and partnered with by NIC from its early stages of development. From a technology startup, SafeGate has now established itself as a leading cybersecurity company in Vietnam with many solutions serving agencies, businesses, and organizations," said Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu.

According to Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu, through cooperation with ViSecurity and the business community, NIC has implemented many practical activities such as human resource training, expert networking, organizing technology forums, and supporting research and application of cybersecurity solutions to serve digital transformation.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, a member of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, shared that the aspiration for the development of our industry is to create products and services that are present on every device of every individual user, present in the network systems of every agency, organization, and enterprise, and present in every household . After more than 3 years of persistent effort, SafeGate has made significant progress.

Emphasizing the spirit of strategic autonomy, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung stated that we cannot achieve rapid and sustainable development without strategic autonomy in technology. Each individual, each task, depending on their strengths, will choose segments and products where they have a competitive advantage to implement strategic autonomy. Today's products have concretized this spirit.

Ensuring cybersecurity - an urgent requirement.

According to statistics from the National Cybersecurity Association, in 2025, information systems in Vietnam faced approximately 552,000 cyberattacks. The level of risk and insecurity of systems in Vietnam remains very high, with 52.30% of agencies and businesses reporting damage from cyberattacks. Hackers today no longer aim solely at paralyzing systems to demand ransom; they increasingly view data as a highly valuable asset for long-term exploitation.

In the context of ever-increasing cyberattacks in terms of number and sophistication, information security and data security have become major challenges for many organizations. Applying technological solutions will help agencies, organizations, and businesses comply with cybersecurity and data security regulations to protect their systems from attacks, data leaks, and maintain smooth operations.

Developed by Vietnamese engineers and utilizing new technologies such as AI and Cloud, these cybersecurity solutions target organizations, businesses, and critical information infrastructure, meeting the needs of entities, legal requirements, and compliance with cybersecurity regulations, while also providing 24/7 support.

Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), emphasized that in the coming time, NIC is committed to continuing to work alongside SafeGate, ViSecurity, and the technology business community in connecting resources, promoting innovation, developing technology, and cultivating high-quality human resources for Vietnam's cybersecurity industry.
