Tề Lỗ is a densely populated area with over 37,200 inhabitants, and an average of less than 300 square meters of arable land per person. To develop an efficient and sustainable economy , in recent years, the local Party committee and government have focused on disseminating information, updating knowledge, and sharing best practices and effective economic models with the people, gradually changing outdated production practices deeply ingrained in their thinking and work habits.
The Party and State's guidelines and policies are promptly disseminated to Party members and the people through the public address system, integrated with conferences and awareness-raising programs. The commune is promoting economic restructuring towards increasing production value, gradually eliminating small-scale, fragmented farming methods, and shifting to concentrated commodity production.
In addition, the locality has effectively implemented the seasonal planting schedule, promoted the application of scientific and technological advancements, introduced high-yield and high-quality crop and livestock varieties into production, and considered the winter crop as a major production season. Many pond and lake areas have been utilized and converted to the VAC (Garden-Pond-Livestock) farm economic model; creating conditions for people to access capital from credit institutions to invest in expanding production. To date, the entire commune has 36 fruit tree farms combined with livestock and fish farming, operating effectively alongside agricultural service cooperatives.

The "river fish in ponds" model, applying high technology, implemented by Mr. Kim Dinh Up's family (Yen Lac 1 village) yields over 80 tons of fish annually, creating jobs for 3-5 workers and generating an income of over 300 million VND per year.
Recognizing the crucial role of trade and services in economic development, Te Lo commune actively invests in infrastructure and encourages households to expand their business and service activities, especially in the Dong Van craft village industrial cluster, the Te Lo craft village industrial cluster (Te Lo iron market), the commune center, and along national and provincial highways.
Currently, the commune has 5 cooperatives and 330 operating businesses, employing approximately 1,700 workers; in addition, there are 2,066 registered households, creating jobs for more than 4,400 workers in fields such as steel smelting, plastic molding, mechanics, transportation, food and beverage businesses, tourism , agricultural supplies services, and garment manufacturing.
Thanks to the right orientation and effective methods in economic restructuring, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture and increasing the proportion of industry and handicrafts associated with the development of trade and services, Te Lo commune has created jobs for thousands of local workers. During the 2020-2025 period, the average per capita income of the commune reached over 180 million VND/year, creating a foundation for the locality to continue effectively implementing socio-economic development goals for the 2025-2030 period, aiming towards building advanced new rural areas and sustainable model new rural areas.
By 2025, the commune's average rice yield will reach over 57.3 quintals/hectare; the total production of food crops and grain will exceed 10,000 tons. The total value of production in the commune will reach over 6,268 billion VND, an increase of 10.63% compared to 2024. Of this, the value of industrial and construction production will reach 3,305.6 billion VND, accounting for 53.8% and increasing by 7.6% compared to the previous year; trade and services will reach over 2,447 billion VND, accounting for 43.8% of the total production value. As a result, the poverty rate according to the multidimensional standard for the 2020-2025 period will decrease to below 1%.

Viet Huy Hoang Co., Ltd. (Dong Van Handicraft Village Industrial Cluster), specializing in the production of work gloves, is providing stable employment for 15 workers with an income of 6-9 million VND per person per month.
Comrade Nguyen Ba Duong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Te Lo Commune, said: In the coming time, the locality will continue to promote the development of household economy in the direction of developing industry and handicrafts associated with trade and services. Regarding agricultural production, the commune will focus on building concentrated commodity production areas, strengthening the application of science and technology in production; paying attention to developing poultry, pig, and waterfowl farming, and fish farming on a farm scale; and replicating effective production and business models.
At the same time, the commune continues to invest in modern infrastructure, expanding inter-village main roads to facilitate the transportation of goods; encouraging organizations and individuals to establish small and medium-sized enterprises and cooperatives, and invest in machinery and equipment, especially in the field of agricultural product processing, in order to attract local labor. Through this, it continues to replicate effective household economic models, increase income, improve people's lives, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction.
