Kinhtedothi - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 466/QD-TTg approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - New Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc was born in 1968; hometown is Luong Hoa commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province. Professional qualifications: Bachelor of Geology, Master of Geology. Political qualifications: Senior in Political Theory.

Before being approved for the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc held the following positions: Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Tan Thanh District Party Committee; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Council; Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

* At the same time, in Decision No. 465/QD-TTg, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also approved the results of the dismissal of Mr. Phan Van Mai from the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term to take on a new assignment.
