"The Prince of Bac Lieu" is highly entertaining, has an engaging storyline, and showcases interesting cultural aspects of a historical period.

The producers stated that the film's setting and costumes will be meticulously crafted to portray the extravagant and wasteful lifestyle of Ba Hon, the wealthy young man from Bac Lieu. Actor Song Luan, who plays Ba Hon, said he was very excited to have the opportunity to embody this unique character. Song Luan and the film crew traveled directly to Bac Lieu province, meeting with local people and the family of the wealthy young man to learn more about the character and his story.
