Following a series of consecutive successes, director Tran Thanh continues his participation in the 2025 Lunar New Year film race with "The Four Revengeful Figures ." This will be a comedy film, a genre that suits Tran Thanh's strengths.
In the first image just released, four familiar faces can be seen: Le Giang, Le Duong Bao Lam, Uyen An, and Quang Trung. The film's title suggests a group of troublemakers who cause chaos wherever they go. This is confirmed by the image, with a chaotic scene of "chickens flying and dogs running" behind the four figures, who are revealed for the first time. Peeking out from behind a motorbike are the four faces with humorous poses.

Sharing his thoughts on the new film project, director Tran Thanh said: “This will be a group of people who have an abundance of love for others and also an abundance of free time, leading to 'idle hands making mischief.' Instead of helping their loved ones, the result is always chaotic and troublesome situations. These bizarre situations stemming from their 'idle hands' will create a humorous story for the audience.”
Based on his definition of the "revenge quartet" in the film, Tran Thanh shared his intentions in returning to his comedic forte in his fourth film.
He said that Tran Thanh's humor isn't just about comedic moments, but hopefully will offer viewers a new perspective on frustrating situations, so that they can laugh heartily together during Tet.
He wants to bring a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere to the audience to welcome the coming new year.

Tran Thanh is Vietnam's first director to earn over 1.4 trillion VND (Vietnamese Dong). His three films have grossed over 1.4 trillion VND in total. Specifically, "Bo Gia" (2021) and "Nha Ba Nu" (2023) grossed 395 billion VND and 459 billion VND respectively. Meanwhile, "Mai" holds the record for the highest box office revenue in Vietnam with 520 billion VND after 41 days in theaters, selling 6.5 million tickets (according to Box Office Vietnam).
Notably, Tran Thanh achieved this success after only 4 years of venturing into filmmaking. He is considered one of the most successful filmmakers at the domestic box office.
Tran Thanh's film, "The Four Vengeful Spirits," will be released during the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025.
